The factsheets offer a comprehensive summary of advancements made in improving the quality of policies and institutions across a range of development topics. Each factsheet comprises a curated collection of core indicators available on the Prosperity Data360 platform.

Macro Poverty Outlook

The Macro Poverty Outlook (MPO) analyzes macroeconomic and poverty developments in 148 developing countries. The report is released twice annually for the Spring and Annual Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The main report consists of two-page country notes that summarize recent developments, forecasts of major macroeconomic variables and poverty, and a discussion of critical challenges facing each developing country. In addition, the MPO includes the below factsheets that summarize recent macroeconomic and poverty data for the historical period and first year of projections.

Poverty and Equity Briefs

The Poverty and Equity Briefs (PEBs) highlight poverty, shared prosperity and inequality trends for over 100 developing countries. The briefs are released twice a year for the Spring and Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. The Briefs help users understand a country’s poverty and inequality context at-a-glance and seek to keep poverty reduction on top of the world’s agenda.

Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation

Comprehensive overview of indicators in finance, competitiveness, and business environment. Useful to track economy performance in financial sector policies and private sector development. Also identifies firm- and industry-level constraints to growth and job creation.

Female Economic Participation

As part of the Using Digital Solutions to Address Barriers to Female Entrepreneurship toolkit, this data generation resource provides comprehensive factsheets of the context in which female entrepreneurs and workers operate. This tool generates information across some 125 indicators, organized by 7 topics and is accompanied by an analysis guide to help teams interpret the data and incorporate findings into project design.

Justice

The Justice Profile is a one-of-a-kind consolidated dataset of attitudes towards the judiciary, as data tends to be the traditional entry point for justice and rule of law reform. The Justice Profile presents a focused dataset with insights, which will allow the production of broad-based cross-economy analytics that can be used when engaging with governments on justice service delivery.
